Looking for math words that start with K?
I did my best to find as many math-related words beginning with the letter K as I could – but it’s a challenging letter to find closely-related words.
Below is a list of all the words I was able to find, I hope you find what you’re looking for!
Math Words That Start With K
Kappa – the kappa curve is named after the 10th letter of the Greek alphabet; the tangents of this curve were first calculated by Isaac Barrow in the 17th century.
Kite – a quadrilateral whose four sides can be grouped into two pairs of equal-length sides that are adjacent to each other.
Kilogram – the SI unit of mass (equivalent to approximately 2.205 lb), first introduced as a unit of mass for the metric system.
Knot – an embedding of the circle S¹ into three-dimensional Euclidean space, R³. Often two knots are considered equivalent if they are isotopic
Kaprekar’s Constant – a constant that arises when we take a 4-digit integer, form the largest and smallest numbers from its digits, and then subtract these two numbers.
Key – a list of labels that identifies categories on a graph.
Kilometer – a metric unit of measurement equal to 1,000 meters (approximately 0.62 miles).
