Improper Fraction – a fraction whose numerator is equal to, larger than, or of equal or higher degree than the denominator.

Isometric – an isometry (or congruence, or congruent transformation) is a distance-preserving transformation between metric spaces, usually assumed to be bijective.

Iteration – the repeated application of a function or process in which the output of each step is used as the input for the next iteration.

Interquartile Range – the difference between smallest value and the largest value of the middle 50% of a set of data.

Interpolation – a type of estimation, a method of constructing new data points based on the range of a discrete set of known data points. 

Interior Angle – the inner of the two angles formed where two sides of a polygon come together.

Interest – a process in which an amount of money borrowed or lent increases over time.

Inradius – The radius of the largest circle that will fit inside any given geometric shape, especially inside a regular polygon.

Inscribe – A geometric figure which touches only the sides (or interior) of another figure.

Increase – become or make greater in size, amount, or degree.

Increment – a small positive or negative change in a variable quantity or function.

Independent Variable – a variable (often denoted by x ) whose variation does not depend on that of another.

Infinite – greater than any assignable quantity or countable number.

Inflation – the rate of increase in prices over a given period of time.

Impossible Event – an event that cannot happen.

Integers – a number which is not a fraction; a whole number.
