Gallon – A unit of volume for measuring liquids. A gallon (gal) is the same as 16 cups or 8 pints or 4 quarts.

Geometry – the branch of mathematics concerned with the shape of individual objects, spatial relationships among various objects, and the properties of surrounding space.

Gravity – the force that attracts a body towards the center of the earth, or towards any other physical body having mass.

Greater Than – The > symbol means “greater than”. It shows that one number or value is larger than another number.

Greatest Common Factor – The greatest common factor (GCF) is a term used to describe the biggest number that can divide evenly into two or more numbers.

Greek Alphabet – Greek letters are used in mathematics, science, engineering, and other areas where mathematical notation is used as symbols for constants, special functions, and also conventionally for variables representing certain quantities.

Grid – evenly divided and equally spaced squares on a figure or flat surface.

Gross (Number) – several terms involving the words “great” or “gross” relate to numbers involving a multiple of exponents of twelve (dozen)

Gross Weight – total weight of an article inclusive of the weight of the container and packaging.
