My Boyfriend Has Feminine Mannerisms (What It Says About Him!)

My Boyfriend Has Feminine Mannerisms

In this article, I’m answering questions and concerns around; ‘my boyfriend has feminine mannerisms.’

Some guys have feminine mannerisms and are just not the masculine, macho type.

There is nothing wrong with this, and if you’re wondering – no, it doesn’t mean they are not straight.

Here is a look at what it means to a relationship when a guy has feminine mannerisms.

My Boyfriend Has Feminine Mannerisms – Should I Be Worried?

Some guys are just not the masculine, macho type and they have what we refer to as ‘feminine mannerisms.’

But, before you start to worry that your boyfriend might be ‘batting for the other team’, let me assure you – there is nothing wrong with this.

In fact, it can actually be quite endearing to a lot of women.

Whether or not a guy’s feminine mannerisms are more or less attractive to a girl really comes down to personal preference.

Some girls love feminine guys, some girls love their guys to be macho and tough, and of course, there are plenty of girls who are indifferent.

So, the bottom line is that you have nothing to worry about.

If your concern is that your boyfriend might not be straight, you’re going to notice other signs that are a lot more obvious than his mannerisms!

What Does It Mean When A Man Is Feminine?

Just so that we’re on the same page here;

When we say a guy is ‘feminine’, what we usually mean is that he has some qualities or behaviors that are typically associated with women.

This can include things like being emotional, sensitive, compassionate, articulate, and even things to do with his dress sense.

Of course, just because a guy has some feminine mannerisms does not mean he is any less of a man.

In fact, many straight guys have some feminine qualities – it’s just that they might not be as pronounced as in other guys.

10 Signs of A Feminine Man

To further illustrate what I’m talking about, here are 10 classic signs of a feminine man:

  • He is in touch with his feelings and emotions and not afraid to show it.
  • He is not afraid to show his vulnerability when he’s scared or facing difficulties.
  • He is compassionate and caring and has no issue showing everyone.
  • He is articulate and well-spoken, and a stereotype here is that he has a lisp too.
  • He has a good sense of style and spends a lot of time – maybe as much as you – grooming himself.
  • He is sensitive to the needs of others and is always trying to comfort those around him.
  • He is romantic and affectionate, and not in a typical ‘guy’ way but more so how a girl would be.
  • He never shows signs of aggression or competitiveness around other guys.
  • He is loyal and supportive to a fault and will stand up for his friends and those around him.
  • He uses flamboyant hand gestures and can be very animated at times.

I think you’ll agree, all of those above qualities do seem a lot more endearing than the caveman attitude of an alpha male, don’t they!

Do Girls Prefer Masculine Guys?

So, the big question is; do girls prefer masculine guys or feminine guys?

Just like with anything else in life, it all comes down to personal preference.

Some girls love a strong, alpha male who will protect them and make them feel safe.

Other girls prefer their guys to be more sensitive and emotional so that they can share their feelings with them.

And then there are girls who couldn’t care less and just want a nice, decent guy – regardless of his mannerisms.

In the end, it all comes down to what you as an individual are attracted to.

If you find yourself more drawn to feminine guys, then there’s nothing wrong with that.

Just because a guy has some feminine qualities does not mean he is any less of a man!

Can You Change a Guy Who Is Too Feminine?

This is a difficult question to answer because it really depends on the guy in question.

If he is comfortable with his feminine side and you are both happy the way he is, then there is probably no need to change him.

But, if he is not comfortable with his femininity and would like to be more masculine, then that is something you can help him with.

The best way to approach this is to talk to him about it and see how he feels.

If he is open to change, then you can work together on ways to help him become more masculine.

But, if he is not interested in changing, then you might have to accept him for who he is.

I can’t lie though, it’s not easy to change anyone’s mannerisms.

Our mannerisms are a huge part of who we are and it’s not easy to change them – even if we want to.

So, if you’re thinking about changing your guy’s feminine mannerisms, be prepared for a long and difficult journey.

But, if you love him and he wants to change, like really wants to and is willing to put in the work, then it’s definitely worth a shot!

What are your thoughts on feminine men? Do you think they’re attractive or not?
