Have you ever been in a situation where a guy texts you but then doesn’t keep the conversation going?
You’re not alone.
This can be really frustrating, especially if you are interested in him.
So why do guys do this?
I’m going to explain some of the possible reasons why guys do this – as well as offering some advice on how to handle the situation.
He Texts Me but Doesn’t Keep the Conversation Going – Why?
It’s important to remember that there could be a number of reasons why a guy might text you but not keep the conversation going.
Here are just a few possibilities:
- He’s not interested in you. He may have just been trying to be nice by texting you, but he doesn’t actually want to talk to you.
- He’s busy and doesn’t have time to talk. He may have meant to text you back but just didn’t get a chance.
- He’s not very good at socializing online. He may be more comfortable talking face-to-face or over the phone.
How to Handle It
If a guy texts you but then doesn’t keep the conversation going, there are a few things you can do:
- Don’t take it personally. He may not be interested in you, or he may just be busy. It’s not anything personal.
- Try to get him on the phone. If you can get him on the phone, it may be easier for him to communicate with you. He may feel more comfortable talking over the phone than texting.
- Don’t wait around for him to text you back. If he doesn’t respond after a day or two, move on. He’s not worth your time.
In short, there are a number of reasons why a guy might text you but not keep the conversation going – it’s better to do some investigating rather than jump to conclusions.
Would a Guy Text You if He Wasn’t Interested Everyday?
This is a difficult question to answer. Some guys may text you just to be friendly, even if they’re not interested in you.
Other guys may only text you if they’re interested. It really depends on the guy.
The best way to figure out whether a guy is interested in you is to observe other aspects of his behavior.
If he’s always asking about your day or trying to make plans with you, then it’s likely that he’s interested.
If he’s not doing any of those things, then it’s probably safe to say that he’s not interested.
You should get a gut feeling – or it may be blatantly obvious – for how much effort the guy is putting into texting you.
If he’s not putting in much effort, it’s a reflection on what he thinks about you. It should also make you question why you’re putting so much effort into texting him.
Why Do Guys Want to Text but Not Meet Up?
Again, this is a difficult question to answer without seeing or know more about the conversations you’re having and what the status of your relationship is
He may be busy and doesn’t have time to meet up. He may be interested in you, but he’s not sure if you’re interested in him.
He may not be very good at socializing online or he may not feel comfortable meeting up with someone he’s only met online.
It’s important to remember that there are many reasons why a guy might want to text instead of meeting up – it doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s not interested in you.
The best way to figure out what’s going on is by talking to him directly. Ask him why he’s not interested in meeting up, and see what he has to say.
It takes a bit of courage to ask a guy such a direct question, but it really is the best thing to do for your peace of mind!
How Do You Know If a Guy Is Stringing You Along?
Again, this is a difficult question to answer without knowing more about the conversations you’re having and your relationship status.
If he’s always making excuses not to meet up, or if he’s never available when you suggest meeting up, then there’s a good chance that he’s stringing you along.
If he keeps saying that he’ll meet up with you but never follows through, then there’s also a good chance that he’s stringing you along.
It can be difficult to tell whether or not a guy is stringing you along, but if something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t.
Trust your gut feeling – it will usually steer you in the right direction!
There are many reasons why a guy might text you but not keep the conversation going.
However, there are always going to be clues as to why he’s behaving like this if you pay attention to how he texts, what he says, and some of his other behaviors.
If you can muster up the courage, without a doubt the best way to figure out what’s going on is to talk to him directly.
