If you have hopes that you’re going to be able to reconcile with your ex but they have a new girlfriend, this poses an obvious problem.

I’m not suggesting you start competing with his new girlfriend, but it doesn’t mean that you don’t have a chance.

The first thing you should do is see just how in love they really are!

If your ex is constantly posting selfies of the two of them together or writing lovey-dovey captions, it’s pretty safe to say that they’re in love.

This is especially true if they’ve just started dating and weren’t nearly as active on social media when they were with you.

It’s also possible that they’re just putting their best look out there on social media and things aren’t as good.

But it’s more likely that they really are in love and are enjoying showing that off on social media.

2. They’re Very Silly Together

This is always a sign that two people are in love and closer than a lot of other couples – they’re able to be silly and don’t care about what other people think.

If you see that your ex and his new girlfriend are constantly making silly faces at each other or joking around, it’s a strong sign they’re in love.

It means they feel comfortable around each other and can just be themselves without feeling like they need to put on a show.

3. They’re Always Together

Do you feel like you’re seeing more of your ex and his new girlfriend than you ever saw of him when you were together?

That’s probably because they’re spending every waking minute together!

Still, it’s worth looking for other signs and not just how quickly they’re moving.

9. They Act Like the World Revolves Around the Two of Them

When you’re in love with someone, it can feel like the world revolves around the two of you.

You become so focused on each other that everything else fades into the background.

If you see that your ex and his new girlfriend are acting like this, it’s a sign they’re in love – and it might be hard for anyone to get through to them!

10. They Can’t Seem to Stop Smiling when They’re Together

This is one of the most classic signs that two people are in love.

If you see your ex and his new girlfriend smiling all the time when they’re together, it’s a good indication that they’re head over heels for each other.

It’s hard to fake that kind of happiness, so if you see them doing it, it’s a good sign that they’re in love.

Keep in Mind that Things Aren’t Always as They Seem

Even though I’ve covered 10 signs that will typically indicate or show two people are in love, I wanted to point out that you never really know for sure.

Just because your ex is exhibiting some or all of these signs with his new girlfriend doesn’t mean he’s actually in love with her.

It could just be a rebound relationship, they’re in the ‘honeymoon period’, or they might be putting their best front on when they’re in public.

Either way, the best thing you can do is focus on your own life and relationships and not worry about what he’s doing.

Even if you want him back, it’s not good for you to spend too much time and emotional energy chasing him and trying to figure out how happy he is.

If things are meant to be, I’m sure something will happen to bring the two of you closer together again.

Why It’s Important to Move on If Your Ex Has a New Girlfriend

If you’re hoping to get back with your ex but they are in a new relationship, it’s important to understand that they deserve space – no matter what you think of their new relationship.

Even if he does exhibit some of the signs I’ve mentioned above, there’s no guarantee that he wants to get back together with you.

Instead of worrying about what he’s doing, focus on your own life and happiness.

The best thing you can do is move on, even if it’s hard to do.

I know it’s not easy, but trust me, it’s for the best.
