It’s always challenging when looking for words that begin with the letter Z, but I did my best when trying to find as many relevant words as possible.

Zazzy – shiny or flashy.
Zeal – great energy or enthusiasm in pursuit of a cause or an objective.
Zealous – having or showing zeal.
Zest – great enthusiasm and energy.
Zestful – characterized by great enthusiasm and energy.
Zesty – having a strong, pleasant, and somewhat spicy flavor.
Zephyr Lights – light decorations that sway gently, and are supposed to resemble a soft breeze. These are typically used in Christmas light displays to enhance the Christmas magic of a nativity scene or outdoor light display.
Zenith Snowfall – the highest or largest point of snowfall during the Christmas season. If you’re lucky enough to get this on Christmas eve, you’ll wake up to a picturesque Christmas morning.
Zaftig Stocking – a plump Christmas stocking
Zalig Kerstfeast or (Kerstfeest) – the Dutch word for “Merry Christmas”

What Makes a Good Christmas Word?
Finding the right words to describe a thing, situation, or event can be incredibly powerful.
When you use the right word, people understand exactly what you mean and the message is conveyed perfectly.
Christmas words are no different!
Christmas words should be:

- and most importantly make you think of Christmas!
Things You Can Do With Christmas Words
- Cookie and desert decorations – It can be a fun Christmas activity to decorate cookies with Christmas words especially if you have young kids learning to spell.
- Scavenger hunts – My kids love going and finding things. you could write out these Christmas words, cut them out and have the kids go and find them.
- Matching games – Matching games with a Christmas twist is tons of fun. Just write out the words two times for each word and cut them out into even squares. Next mix them up and line them up into rows. Then you and the other player simply take turns flipping two at a time and trying to remember where the matching words are. If you find a match leave them turned over.
- Arts and craft activities – My kids love writing words. They are just getting into spelling and reading and love writing out new words. You can take Christmas words and have them pick their favorite one. Then write the word and decorate it with Christmas themed decorations.

The Christmas we know today is nothing like its origins, and most aren’t familiar with how and why Christmas began.
Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration by billions of people around the world.
A highly commercialized and globalized celebration, Christmas is traditionally celebrated in many ways and has been adapted in various cultures throughout the ages.
Common modern customs of Christmas include gift giving, Christmas music, an exchange of Christmas cards, church services, a special meal, and the display of various Christmas decorations, including Christmas trees, Christmas lights, nativity scenes, garlands, wreaths, mistletoe, and holly.
Traditionally, Christmas is a time for giving, but the focus on gift-giving and materialism has increased in recent decades.
Christmas is both a sacred religious holiday and a worldwide cultural and commercial phenomenon.
