He Has Too Much Pride to Come Back! (What You Can Do to Help)

He Has Too Much Pride to Come Back

If you’ve split from your boyfriend or husband and he has too much pride to come back – don’t give up just yet!

If it’s just his ego or a sense of pride stopping him from getting back with you, I’m sure there are things you can do to make him see sense.

Here are some of the reasons why some guys are too proud to admit when they’re wrong, and what you can do about it:

He Has Too Much Pride to Come Back – Why Some Guys Behave Like This

If your boyfriend or husband has decided to leave or you have decided as a couple to split, it’s usually because he – or both of you are – not happy with something in the relationship.

It could be that either or both of you feel like you’re not getting enough attention, or that there are too many arguments.

Sometimes, we just need some space to sort out our thoughts and feelings, too.

Whatever the reason, couples split or take a break – that’s perfectly normal.

However, if he’s then unable to make up, admit he’s wrong, or just openly discuss the issues in the relationship, this is a bigger problem.

This shows that he’s either emotionally immature, too proud, or his ego is getting in the way.

This is incredibly frustrating because you can see that he still has feelings for you and wants to reconcile, but his stubborn pride is getting in the way!

What Is Pride and Why Does It Stop Guys Coming Back?

Pride is an emotion or a way of thinking that’s the opposite of humility.

It can manifest as self-respect, but also as arrogance, stubbornness, and a refusal to admit when we’re wrong.

In some cases, pride can be seen as a good thing – it can give us confidence and make us feel good about ourselves.

However, when it’s excessive, it can become a negative emotion that causes problems in our relationships.

For example, if your partner is too proud to admit he’s wrong, this means he’ll never be able to apologize or take responsibility for his actions.

This can lead to resentment and arguments, as well as a feeling of being unheard or unimportant.

His pride might have been the reason you guys didn’t work out, I know it’s the case for a lot of relationships.

If your partner is too proud to come back after leaving, it might be because he doesn’t want to admit that he was wrong to leave in the first place.

It could also be that he’s afraid of being rejected or hurt again.

Whatever the reason, his pride is preventing him from getting back with you and it’s something you’ll need to work on together.

How Do You Know He Wants to Come Back?

Just so we’re on the same page, some of the ways you can tell a guy wants to reconcile with you but can’t get past his pride are:

  • He’s still in contact with you, even if it’s just to check in or talk about mutual friends
  • He talks about the good times you had together
  • He brings up shared memories or inside jokes and smiles while chatting about them
  • He tries to make you jealous by flirting with other women or talking about other girls he’s interested in
  • He’s still interested in your life and asks about your day-to-day
  • He tries to spend time with you, even if it’s just as friends

If any of this sounds familiar, it’s a good sign that he wants to get back together but his pride is getting in the way!

How to Help a Guy Get Over His Pride and Come Back

There are a few things you can do to try and help your partner get over his pride and come back to you.

Firstly, the most important thing is to be patient and understanding.

This is a sensitive issue for him and it’s going to take some time for him to come around.

Try not to get angry or frustrated, even if he’s being stubborn.

Instead, have an honest conversation with him about how you’re feeling and why you want to get back together.

Make it clear that you’re willing to work on the relationship and that you’re not going to give up on him.

You could also try doing something special for him, like cooking his favorite meal or getting tickets to a game he’s been wanting to see.

Sometimes, a small gesture can go a long way in showing someone how much you care.

Finally, if you really want to help him get over his pride and come back to you, try reaching out to his friends or family.

They might be able to talk some sense into him and help him see that he’s being foolish by not reconciling with you.

At the end of the day, no two guys are the same – it’s hard to say what the ‘thing’ will be that’ll make him realize you’re more important than his pride.

There is always something though, I believe that. If your relationship is worth fighting for, don’t give up without a fight.

Does No Contact Work on Stubborn Man?

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, unfortunately.

It depends on the guy and the situation.

Sometimes, giving him space is all he needs to realize what he’s missing and come back of his own accord.

In other cases, you might need to be more proactive and reach out to him yourself.

If you decide to go the no-contact route, make sure you do it for the right reasons.

Don’t do it to punish him or to try and make him jealous.

The point of no contact is to give yourself time to heal and work on yourself, as well as giving him space to do the same.

The result is that he should realize how much he misses having you in his life and can look past his ego or pride and reach out to you.

How Long Does It Take a Stubborn Man to Miss You?

Again, this varies from guy to guy.

Some men might miss you almost immediately after you’ve split and they’ll kick themselves.

They might be able to get over their sense of pride within days and will be on the phone apologizing and asking if you can talk about what happened.

While other guys might not realize what they’re missing until months later, and even then they might find it too difficult to admit they want to get back together or talk.

It all depends on his level of stubbornness and pride.

If you want to know for sure whether or not he’s missing you, the best thing to do is reach out and ask him.

It might be a little awkward, but it could just give you the closure you need or get the ball rolling for him.
