Wackadoodle – an eccentric or fanatical person.
Wanderlust – a strong desire to travel.
Whatchamacallit – used to refer to a person or thing whose name one cannot recall, does not know or does not wish to specify.
Whimsical – playfully quaint or fanciful, especially in an appealing and amusing way.
Whippersnapper – a young and inexperienced person considered to be presumptuous or overconfident.
Whirligig – a toy that spins round, for example a top or windmill.
Whirlybird – a helicopter.
Whizbang – a resounding success.
Whodunit – a story or play about a murder in which the identity of the murderer is not revealed until the end.
Whoop – a loud cry of joy or excitement.
Widget – a small gadget or mechanical device.

Woebegone – sad or miserable in appearance.
Wonky – not straight; crooked or askew.
Woozy – unsteady, dizzy, or dazed.
Wordsmith – a skilled user of words.
Wunderkind – a person who achieves great success when relatively young.
Wuthering – (of weather) characterized by strong winds.
