Pachyderm – a very large mammal with thick skin, especially an elephant, rhinoceros, or hippopotamus.
Pagoda – a Hindu or Buddhist temple, typically in the form of a many-tiered tower.
Palindrome – a word, phrase, or sequence that reads the same backwards as forwards.
Palomino – a pale golden or tan-colored horse or pony with a white mane and tail, originally bred in the south-western US.
Panache – flamboyant confidence of style or manner.
Pandemonium – wild and noisy disorder or confusion; uproar.
Pantaloons – women’s baggy trousers gathered at the ankles.
Papyrus – a material prepared in ancient Egypt from the pithy stem of a water plant, used in sheets throughout the ancient Mediterranean world for writing or painting on and also for making articles such as rope.
Parabola – a symmetrical open plane curve formed by the intersection of a cone with a plane parallel to its side. The path of a projectile under the influence of gravity follows a curve of this shape.
Parallelogram – a four-sided plane rectilinear figure with opposite sides parallel.

Pedagogue – a teacher, especially a strict or pedantic one.
