Homeopathic Stress Relief

“I’m so stressed out”

“I need a break from work, I’m too stressed out”

“My head hurts, I’ve got too much to do”

Any of these statements sound familiar to you?

There’s a good chance you have either said one, or more of these before. Or someone close to you has.

Studies in 2013 reported that 52% of teens, and 43% of adults experienced stress that impacted their mental health in the last year.

If you are suffering from stress, you have three main options:

  • Take some medication as prescribed by your doctor.
  • Work on stress relieving tips to ease the effects. Or,
  • Try some homeopathic stress relief remedies.

The third option, homeopathic stress relief remedies.  Are also known to be a natural remedy for stress, and is often overlooked. In homeopathy there is a desire to find out what the person is feeling, and experiencing. A practitioner will try to interpret what they see from a person’s behavior. As well as listening to them explain how they are feeling.

Each person’s interpretation of stress is very different for example. What stresses out one person, may not affect another. Not to mention that one person under stress will react badly, compare to the next person.

In essence, someone who is stressed will feel the need to react in a way as to defend or react to the situation. If can cause external and internal from a person, causing a determination in their physical and mental health.

How Bad for Us Is Stress?

There is a train of thought that small amounts of stress can bring out the best in someone. Helping them to achieve more than they would when not under any pressure, kind of like a motivation.

Unfortunately small amounts of stress often lead to larger amounts. In this fast-paced day and age nearly all of us are exposed to large amounts of stress. Many of us are exposed to stress on a daily basis, and it becomes part of our lives.

Job pressure, relationship pressures, day-to-day stress, illness and personal problems, there are no shortage of stressful triggers. Stress builds up over time. Lowering our immune systems and ability to rebuff stressful situations.

There are some serious health problems related to stress. Such as heart conditions, high blood pressure, and obesity. It also impacts our relationships with work colleagues, friends, loved ones, and more.

Homeopathic medicines help directly with our body’s ability to remain calm, relax, feel revitalized, and focus.

What Is Homeopathic Stress Relief?

Homeopathic stress relief treatments have been used for over 200 years. They are designed to stimulate the human body’s natural healing process. The word ‘Homeopathy’ comes from the Greek meaning of ‘similar suffering’.

This refers to the philosophy that a small amount of treatment can produce symptoms in the person that is healthy. Similar to that of the person who is unwell. For example, someone suffering with hay fever may be given some Allium Cepa (a remedy prepared with onion).

This is because when you chop onions you experience irritation to the eyes. It causes watering and burning sensations. The treatment is prepared in a way as to avoid the unpleasant side effects, and administered in a small dose.

Homeopathic stress relief medicine focuses on the root cause of a health problem. It doesn’t just treat or relieve the symptoms as some traditional medicine does. A qualified homeopathic professional can advise on the correct treatments for each condition.

Does Homeopathic Remedies for Stress and Anxiety Work?

There is still some room for debate. Although there have been many studies carried out, and with positive results. One study was carried out on 60 subjects all suffering with stress and anxiety, exhibiting a range of the typical symptoms.

Half were given a homeopathic remedy, and half were given diazepam. The results indicated that both treatments were equally as successful. Which is reassuring, seeing as homeopathic medicine is seen as a safer alternative.

It’s worth remembering that homeopathic remedies are safe, and everyone will react differently. It’s certainly not worth ruling it out unless you have tried it yourself.

Homeopathic Stress Remedies

There are a few different homeopathic remedies for stress and anxiety relief. The aim is to find the best fit for you as an individual. If you don’t think there is anything listed below that suits you, you should consider making an appointment with a professional.

Most of these remedies can be easily found and purchased over the counter. Some will be at more specialized homeopathic stores, but you shouldn’t come across any problems finding them.

For starters I recommend taking around 30c every hour or so when you’re feeling stressed. See how much difference it makes and adjust the dose accordingly. Always act responsibly, and check with your doctor if you have any concerns at all.

Argentum Nitricum

This is ideal for treating anxiety. The type of anxiety usually caused by anticipating social events, upcoming exams, or parties. Subjects report this to be very effective, although there are side-effects of dizziness and diarrhea in some cases.

This medicine is usually recommended for enthusiastic and energetic people, who tend to be impulsive.

Gelsemium

This treatment is very effective at giving the brain a kick-start. If you have an important exam upcoming and are feeling down, Gelsemium can give you a boost.

It’s also great at treating colds, flu and headaches, often symptoms of stress due to a reduced immune system. This remedy is often recommended to the quiet, low-esteem people who fear public speaking and being the center of attention.

Nux Vomica

This is a well-known remedy, known to help treat indigestion, intoxication, and stress. This treatment works at a neutralizer of excess intake of drugs, alcohol, and food. As well as the mental effect of stress on the mind.

It’s recommended for people who lead busy lives, travelling a lot, working long hours, and partying hard. If you suffer from stress and indigestion then you should give this a try.

Lycopodium

If you are the type of personality that has swings in self-confidence, this medicine is the best fit for you. Lycopodium helps find a balance for people who worry too much, struggle making decisions, and question their decisions.

It also helps soothe the symptoms of excessive gas, bloating, colic and constipation. Certainly worth trying if you are affected by any of these.

People have been turning to natural health remedies for hundreds of years. There are endless lists of old wives tales, and remedies passed from generation to generation.

There are still the skeptics out there, those who trust and rely on modern medicine. But unless you have tried a homeopathic stress relief remedy, you should reserve judgment.

Homeopathic remedies are often a lot easier on the body, contain less chemicals, and have fewer side-effects. So it’s an option worth pursuing.

If you have tried any remedies for stress and anxiety I would love to hear any feedback. Please leave a comment below.
