I love podcasts. I find them the easiest way to take in quality information that sticks, and you can, of course, rewind and listen to bits over with a click of a button which helps.
Listening to podcasts on self-development, improvement, personal growth, etc on the move is the perfect way to stimulate some productive thoughts and get you fired up.
The bad thing about podcasts being so popular is that there are loads of choose from and it can get a bit frustrating trying to find the best of the bunch.
The good news – I’ve done the hard work for you and listed 7 of the best self-development podcasts to listen to in 2018 below.
Best Self-Development Podcasts to Listen to in 2018
The Tony Robbins Podcast
I can’t put together a list of the best self-development anything without having something by Tony Robbins on it.
He’s helped me achieve a lot personally. As well as over 50 million other’s all over the world (those are stats from his bio).
In his podcast, Tony shares the strategies and tactics he’s used to grow his own business, relationships, finances, and health, as well as how he coaches others to do the same.
Some of the content is made up of excerpts from his live events, interviews with influencers, and there is some other previously unreleased content so it’s a must for any Tony Robbins fans.
Daily Boost Podcast
The Daily Boost is a 10-15 minute podcast that gives you some golden nuggets of information to give you the best start to your day and raises some interesting topics to think about.
The host, Scott Smith delivers important messages without any fluff. He has a cool sense of humor and I really like the way he goes about the content and inspiring people to not just listen, but take action.
The show has had more than 22 million downloads, and with more than 9k episodes to date, there is more than enough content to dive into.
Optimal Living Daily Podcast
The host of the Optimal Living Daily podcast reads some of the best self-development content out there with author permission.
It covers personal development, minimalism, productivity, and some of the other areas of personal growth. I’ve been listening for a while, they are short episodes and easy to take it.
The host describes this podcast as, ‘an audio blog or blogcast where the best blogs are narrated for you for free.’
Pick the Brain Podcast
If you haven’t heard of Pick the Brain you should check out their blog. Pick the Brain is one of the blogs I check in on daily and one of the most popular self-improvement blogs on the net.
Join the hosts Erin Falconer and Jeremy Fisher as they pick the brains of some of the brightest minds in productivity, self-improvement, and health, and help you take the steps to retain your brain.
Previous episodes have featured advice from influencers such as Jeff Bezos and Opera Winfrey, so a wide scope of life views and experiences. A great podcast, I recommend checking it out.
The Overwhelmed Brain Podcast
This show goes deep into topics around depression, fears, obsession, panic, relationships, happiness, and other issues that prevent us from growing and being more productive and happy individuals.
The aim of the podcast is to help you become more empowered to make the decisions that are right for you. The host gives you all the tools and direction you need to make these choices.
One thing I like about it is that the host reads and answers a lot of listener emails, so if you like contacting shows or listening to advice then this is the show for you.
The Minimalists Podcast
Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus are experts in living a minimalist lifestyle. In their podcast, they discuss how you too can live a meaningful life, with less stuff.
I’ve covered topics about decluttering, adopting a more minimal approach, keeping workspaces clear, and so on. All of which can have a huge impact on productivity and your mental wellbeing.
This podcast is a must for anyone interested in living a more minimalist lifestyle and all the positive benefits that come with doing so.
The MenProvement Podcast
This one is a little different, it’s marketed towards men and features interviews with influential men from all over the world – but don’t let that stop ladies getting some insight into a man’s world!
Listen in for some interesting and practical tips and advice on dating, financial and business growth, personal growth, style, and much more.
It’s one of the best podcasts for laying out easy to follow steps to help you with your own self-development and growth.

Or, like me, you can chill out in the evening and listen to one when you’re unwinding.
