B is a great letter for words that can help structure sentences. This letter is sometimes silent and often makes a prominent sound in a word.
From short, common words like ‘bee’ and ‘ball’, to slightly more challenging words like ‘bicycle’ and ‘button’ – I hope you find what you’re looking for:
Easy Words That Start With B
Ball – a solid or hollow spherical or egg-shaped object that is kicked, thrown, or hit in a game.
Basket – a container used to hold or carry things, typically made from interwoven strips of cane or wire.
Bat – an implement with a handle and a solid surface, typically of wood, used for hitting the ball in games such as cricket, baseball, and table tennis.
Bear – carry the weight of; support.
Beast – an animal, especially a large or dangerous four-footed one.
Bed – a piece of furniture for sleep or rest, typically a framework with a mattress.
Bee – a stinging winged insect which collects nectar and pollen, produces wax and honey, and lives in large communities.
Beep – a short, high-pitched sound emitted by electronic equipment or a vehicle horn.
Below – at a lower level or layer than.
Bib – a piece of cloth or plastic fastened round a child’s neck to keep its clothes clean while eating.
Bicycle – a vehicle consisting of two wheels held in a frame one behind the other, propelled by pedals and steered with handlebars attached to the front wheel.
Bike – a bicycle or motorcycle.
Bill – a printed or written statement of the money owed for goods or services.
Bird – a warm-blooded egg-laying vertebrate animal distinguished by the possession of feathers, wings, a beak, and typically by being able to fly.
Biscuit – a small baked unleavened cake, typically crisp, flat, and sweet.
Boat – a small vessel for traveling over water, propelled by oars, sails, or an engine.
Book – a written or printed work consisting of pages glued or sewn together along one side and bound in covers.
Bow – a knot tied with two loops and two loose ends, used especially for tying shoelaces and decorative ribbons.
Box – a container with a flat base and sides, typically square or rectangular, and having a lid.
Boy – a male child or youth.
Brew – make (beer) by soaking, boiling, and fermentation.
Broom – a long-handled brush of bristles or twigs, used for sweeping.
Brother – a man or boy in relation to other sons and daughters of his parents.
Bull – an uncastrated male bovine animal.
Bus – a large motor vehicle carrying passengers by road, typically one serving the public on a fixed route and for a fare.
Medium Difficulty Words That Start With B
Bag – a flexible container with an opening at the top, used for carrying things.
Bake – cook (food) by dry heat without direct exposure to a flame, typically in an oven.
Balloon – a small colored rubber bag which is inflated with air and then sealed at the neck, used as a child’s toy or a decoration.
Band – a flat, thin strip or loop of material, used as a fastener, for reinforcement, or as decoration.
Bargain – a thing bought or offered for sale much more cheaply than is usual or expected.
Bath – a large container for water, used for immersing and washing the body.
Because – used to introduce a word or phrase that stands for a clause expressing an explanation or reason.
Bell – a hollow metal object, typically in the shape of a deep inverted cup widening at the lip, that sounds a clear musical note when struck, especially by means of a clapper inside.
Berry – a small roundish juicy fruit without a stone.
Bet – risk a sum of money or valued item against someone else’s on the basis of the outcome of an unpredictable event such as a race or game.
Bid – offer (a certain price) for something, especially at an auction.
Big – of considerable size or extent.
Black – of the very darkest color owing to the absence of or complete absorption of light; the opposite of white.
Blessed – endowed with divine favor and protection.
Brave – ready to face and endure danger or pain; showing courage.
Brown – of a color produced by mixing red, yellow, and blue, as of dark wood or rich soil.
Bubble – a thin sphere of liquid enclosing air or another gas.
Builder – a person who constructs something by putting parts or material together.
Bun – a small cake, typically containing dried fruit.
Bush – a shrub or clump of shrubs with stems of moderate length.
But – used to introduce a phrase or clause contrasting with what has already been mentioned.
Button – a small disc or knob sewn onto a garment, either to fasten it by being pushed through a slit made for the purpose or for decoration.
Bye – short for goodbye.
