Airplane – a powered flying vehicle with fixed wings and a weight greater than that of the air it displaces.

Aim – point or direct (a weapon or camera) at a target.
Alphabet – a set of letters or symbols in a fixed order used to represent the basic set of speech sounds of a language, especially the set of letters from A to Z.
Amber – hard translucent fossilized resin originating from extinct coniferous trees of the Tertiary period, typically yellowish in color. It has been used in jewelry since antiquity.
Ambulance – a vehicle equipped for taking sick or injured people to and from the hospital, especially in emergencies.
An – the form of the indefinite article used before words beginning with a vowel sound.

Arrow – a weapon consisting of a thin, straight stick with a sharp point, designed to be shot from a bow.
Art – the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
Ask – say something in order to obtain an answer or some information.
At – expressing location or arrival in a particular place or position.
Aunt – the sister of one’s father or mother or the wife of one’s uncle.
Axe – a tool used for chopping wood, typically of iron with a steel edge and wooden handle.
Medium Difficulty Words That Start With A
Ability – talent, skill, or proficiency in a particular area.
Aboard – on or into a ship, aircraft, train, or other vehicle.
Absorb – take in or soak up (energy or a liquid or other substance) by chemical or physical action.
Accuse – claim that (someone) has done something wrong.
Across – from one side to the other of (a place, area, etc.).
Active – engaging or ready to engage in physically energetic pursuits.
Actor – a person whose profession is acting on the stage, in films, or on television.
Adopt – legally take (another’s child) and bring it up as one’s own.
Adult – a person who is fully grown or developed.
Advice – guidance or recommendations offered with regard to prudent future action.
Afloat – floating in water; not sinking.
Age – the length of time that a person has lived or a thing has existed.
Agree – have the same opinion about something; concur.
Album – a blank book for the insertion of photographs, stamps, or pictures.
Alike – in the same or a similar way.
Along – moving in a constant direction on (a road, path, or any more or less horizontal surface).
Although – in spite of the fact that; even though.
Amount – a quantity of something, especially the total of a thing or things in number, size, value, or extent.
Ancient – belonging to the very distant past and no longer in existence.
Angry – feeling or showing strong annoyance, displeasure, or hostility; full of anger.
Anybody – anyone.
Apply – make a formal application or request.
Approve – officially agree to or accept as satisfactory.
Arctic – relating to the regions around the North Pole.
Artist – a person who creates paintings or drawings as a profession or hobby.
Attract – cause to come to a place or participate in a venture by offering something of interest or advantage.
Automate – convert (a process or facility) to be operated by largely automatic equipment.
Avocado – a pear-shaped fruit with a rough leathery skin and smooth, oily edible flesh.
Avoid – keep away from or stop oneself from doing (something).
