Using the right words in a business situation is incredibly powerful, it can be the difference between making a real difference and missing the mark.
From writing sales copy, internal communications, and mission statements to any other business-related content, using the correct words will help you demonstrate professionalism and evoke the desired response.

Business Words That Start With H
Hacker – a person who uses computers to gain unauthorized access to data.
Half Year – the period commencing on the day after the end of a Financial Year and ending on the next Half Year Date.
Hang Seng – an index of share prices based on an average of 33 stocks quoted on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Hard Loan – a specific type of asset-based loan financing through which a borrower receives funds secured by real property.
Hard Sell – a forceful or aggressive marketing strategy in which a salesperson mounts pressure on a consumer to purchase a product.
Hedge Funds – an investment vehicle that caters to high-net-worth individuals, institutional investors, and other accredited investors.
High-Net-Worth Individuals – somebody with at least $1 million in liquid financial assets.
High-Pressure – refers to urgent, intense nature of the business.
High Yield – type of corporate bond that offers a higher rate of interest because of its higher risk of default.
High Tech – technology that is at the cutting edge: the most advanced technology available.
High-Ratio Loan – a loan whereby the loan value is high relative to the property value being used as collateral.
Holding Company – a separate parent company created to own a controlling interest in a subsidiary company or companies.
Home Reversion Plan – sell all or part of your home in return for a cash lump sum, a regular income or both.
Horizontal Merger – a merger between firms that produce and sell the same products, i.e., between competing firms.
Hostile Takeover – when an acquiring company attempts to take over a target company against the wishes of the target company’s management.
Hyperinflation – rapid, excessive, and out-of-control general price increases in an economy.
As you can see, there is a good amount of business-related words beginning with the letter H that should come in useful.
‘Horizontal Merger’ and ‘Hostile Takeover’ are two interesting terms that could be relevant if you’re documenting one or more companies changing hands. Just be sure to check the facts surrounding the sale.
